Technical Information
How CallWatch works
The following is a summary of the steps CallWatch runs:
1. CallWatch is started. CallWatch opens the Jet contact database.
2. A contact record is selected by either:
User enters a name or other search field in the search form
User presses the slide control on the contact more..
3. CallWatch returns the contact from the CallWatch contact database
4. The contact is displayed in the main contact form
5. The user presses one of the call buttons.
6. CallWatch finds the type of call (local, intrastate, toll call etc.).
7. CallWatch determines the time you are calling (day, evening, night etc).
8. CallWatch finds all long distance companies that meet all the above criteria for the location specified.
9. CallWatch sorts the carriers by the criteria specified.
10. CallWatch places the call to the number.
11. CallWatch logs the call specific information including time, cost, comments etc. to the CallWatch database.
Call Types and Call Times
Call Types
1- Local (within home area code)
2- Intrastate (within same state)
3- Toll Call (interstate)
4- International (out of US/Canada)
5- Toll Free
Call Times (set in Options->Long Distance)
1- weekday daytime
2- weekday evening
3- weekday nighttime
4- Saturday All day Saturday.
5- Sunday All day Sunday.
6- Holiday All day for the holiday. (24 hour period)
