Ive installed the
Sentry software - but I'm still able to change the time
Check that:
Sentry software has been started
Clock Locking is turned on in the software. See Sentry Administration »
The software was restarted after turning on locking the first time (the green Clock Locking light should be visible on the main screen)
How can I tell if
Sentry is working?
Check that any
(or all) of these occur:
If Sentry is not visible on the desktop, check the system tray for the hidden Sentry icon. See Sentry Administration »
Check the Windows task manager (pres Cntrl + Alt + Delete to enter) for "ClockWatch")
Change the time or date in the Date/Time control panel and see if it changes back after you press "OK"
How can I tell if someone tried to change the clock?
The Sentry event log has a record of every time change on the computer. See Sentry Administration »
The Action log (if enabled) will list the attempt.
Can I get Sentry to start every time this computer starts?
You can configure Sentry for automatic start-up that will start Sentry every time the computer is on (and you are logged in) .
Under Windows NT/2k/XP/2003 you can enable the ClockWatch service (Options->Service) to run whenever Windows is up (regardless of who is logged in).
The time on the
